Ben Cavataro - "We need to come together as members of the Gator Nation. Together, we can open the doors to involvement on our campus."

Sagar Sane, a University of Florida graduate student, is from Overland Park, Kansas. Before coming to UF, Sagar received his B.A. in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

While at UNC - Chapel Hill, Sagar founded and headed up the Student Government Distinguished Speaker Series (an equivalent position to UF's ACCENT Chair). He was able to bring prominent speakers to campus, promoted major university-wide events, and established an endowment to fund future speakers at his alma mater.

Sagar laid the groundwork for what is now an extremely successful part of UNC - Chapel Hill’s Student Government, which demonstrates his ability to manage a large staff and build an organization like Student Government's cabinet from the ground up. Now that he is a graduate student at UF, Sagar is proud to be a Florida Gator and will bring his past experience and qualifications to help improve our Student Government.

In addition to his SG experience, Sagar has worked on major political campaigns in several states, proving his ability to organize large groups of people and showing his dedication to fight for causes he believes in.

As Vice President, Sagar plans to reduce the wasteful bureaucracy and will ensure that Student Government is more transparent and responsive to student needs. He also plans to work with his running mates to reform the budget process, making it more efficient and allowing students to see where their $14.4 million in fees are going.
