Student Alliance releases official party platform

The Student Alliance has released its full platform, which contains over 70 ideas for UF’s future. With ideas covering topics ranging from student safety to campus food service, the Student Alliance has the most comprehensive platform ever released by a Student Government political party.

“Our extended platform is unlike that of any other political party,” said Ben Cavataro, candidate for Student Body President. “Our ideas, which come from dozens of ordinary students, are the common-sense solutions that our university needs.”

While the Student Alliance will be handing out flyers with excerpts of their platform, students can read the full text at each of our tables, and online by clicking here.

In addition to releasing its platform, the Student Alliance has submitted three pieces of legislation to be heard in the Senate this Tuesday. The bills will put Senate voting records and the Student Government budgets online, and also encourage all students to vote in the upcoming SG elections, which will be held on February 23 and 24.
